Our corporate identity - what's in a name?
Calliden is derived from the Latin "Callidus" and can be translated as versatility, skilfulness and experience.
Our name and the colour “purple’” was chosen to differentiate Calliden from all other general insurers.
Our Culture
Genuinely Alternative
We aim to be the “Genuine Alternative” to the typical larger general insurance players.
The variety of businesses that we have relationships with, and products on offer, provide customers with valued ‘alternatives’
We also sincerely believe there is another way of doing things:
- We think big but act small, and we are faster moving and more responsive than our larger competitors. Our size allows us to see the direct impact our actions have on the business and our clients.
